Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:31-32
Please notice the "if." In the original Greek language, this "if" is 3rd class condition, meaning maybe we individual believers will or maybe we won't "continue in" His Word. Knowing the truth depends on continuing in His Word, and being made free from the snare of Satan depends on knowing the truth. This is a lifestyle, brethren, not an experience.
