Faultless

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 24-25

Sometimes you just need the melodious beauty of the King James Version. What a glorious blessing, from Jude to his congregation and to us. We have total eternal security IN CHRIST. Because I am His, He keeps me from falling (Romans 14:4). Because I am His, I stand faultless before God the Father, clothed in the Righteousness of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). That's what a Christian is. It is not a behavior pattern. I saw some angry comments on a news item today that expressed a lot of ignorance about what kind of people are "more Christian" than others. All they know is behavior. THEIR standards of behavior. What they don't know is what makes a Christian. Christians are made by receiving the free gift of unlimited atonement that was provided for us through the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christianity is not about what we do, but about Whose we are. It is a family relationship. Unbelievers cannot understand this, and they despise this teaching by the Church. Unbelievers want to judge what makes a Christian. They haven't a clue. It takes spiritual discernment to grasp the relationship of Christ to His Church. Unbelievers are not equipped. They could be. They can be, if they will simply believe in the person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ. Then they, too, will be new species. Then they, too, can stand faultless before the throne of God. He is glorious and majestic, sovereign and powerful forever! And we belong to Him.
