God's Justice

God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 2 Thessalonians 1:6-8


One of the characteristics of God's Essence is Perfect Justice. Always fair. Cannot be unfair. He is Perfect Justice because he is also Omniscience, therefore knows the mind and soul of every one who ever has lived or ever will live. He is Perfect Justice because He gave His Son and provided the way for every human to come to know about the propitiation of Jesus Christ, who paid the penalty in full for everyone's sins. He is Perfect Justice because He allows our free will to believe or deny, accept or reject the finished Work of Jesus on our behalf. And here's the Justice: your sins are paid for. No one will ever go to hell for his sins. They are no longer an issue. The judgment is, for those who have rejected the Only Savior, there is no more sacrifice for sins. Everyone has opportunity in this life to learn about the grace plan of God, the Work of the Savior, and decide to obey or reject the gospel. There is simply no recourse for those who reject Him. No plan B.
