One Mediator

For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. 1 Timothy 2:5-6

One God, soveriegn over the universe. Absolutely Righteous, Absolutely Just. Cannot tolerate sin. Sin = death. All humans are condemned at birth because of our Old Sin Nature, inherited from Adam. No naturally concieved human can mediate our forgiveness, because all are tainted with sin and unacceptable to God. There is nothing we can do about it. We are helpless and hopeless without a perfect Lamb, born without sin, who can receive in His own perfect person the penalty for our sin. That Lamb was virgin born (no inherited sin), lived a sinless life (no personal sin) and willingly took the judgment for your sins and mine on the cross. One mediator. At exactly the right time in history. Jesus Christ, God/Man. No other sacrifice could ever be acceptable. No other work can count. That's why there can be only one Savior. Acts 4:12: There is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved.
