Everything We Need

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 2 Peter 1:3-4

God is omnipotent. All power. He is the source of all the power in the universe. He is our spiritual power for knowing Him and learning to live as His Royal Family in the devil's world. His glory is the Light of the world. His goodness is Perfect Righteousness. We teach that as +R. Absolute Goodness. More good than any human can comprehend, but it is imputed to us at the cross. All those precious promises we find in the Holy Scripture, OT and NT, are given to us to learn, memorize, store and apply on a daily basis or even hourly or moment-by-moment. We call it Faith Rest. Faith=what we know about God. Rest=complete confidence in His provision for us. That is the mind of Christ. We have it in writing for our edification, for our protection, for our discernment, comfort, guidance. The Word of God is a barricade for our souls. It becomes who we are and how we think, and that is the objective of the Christian Way of Life. "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ." I Corinthians 2:16
